This article reviews how to view your Goliath Performance Monitor License Key, and how to understand usage counts within the product.

View your License Key Counts
- Log in to the Goliath Performance Monitor interface.
- In the left hand menu, go to Settings and click Version & License Count
- A dialog similar to the following will open in the middle of the screen.
- Review the information in the License Counts section. Details are described below.
- Note, there is no functionality difference between Fully Licensed Version and Evaluation Version other than the the evaluation version has usage expiration date.
License Key Description
How the product is sold is slightly different from how the licenses are displayed in the product. The below table describes which license maps to the key values.
Count | Description |
Server Agents | The number of Citrix Role Server, CVAD, Citrix Cloud, Physical Servers, Hyper-V Hosts & VMs, Master Agents, Application Availability Monitor Endpoints and other license types. |
WS Agents |
The number of machines with a workstation OS that are not connected to a hypervisor API. |
Hosts |
The number of Citrix and/or VMware hosts. |
VM Only Agents |
The number of Citrix or VMware virtual machine agents purchased with the hypervisor license. |
Devices |
The number of network elements utilizing SNMP/SYSLOG or PING monitoring only. |
Topology View |
If set to 1, the Topology View is licensed. If set to 0, Topology is not licensed. |
Application Availability Monitoring |
If set to 1, Application Availability Monitoring (GAAM) is licensed. If set to 0, Application Availability Monitor is not licensed. |
Citrix Cloud |
If set to 1, Citrix Cloud monitoring is licensed. If set to 0, Citrix Cloud monitoring is not licensed. |
ChromeOS |
If set to 1, Google ChromeOS endpoint monitoring is licensed. If set to 0, Google ChromeOS endpoint monitoring is not licensed. |
Inventory Count Descriptions
The devices discovered and imported to your inventory can differ from a count perspective from what you are licensed to monitor. To review your inventory and understand your counts, use the Inventory page. The counts are displayed in the bottom bar of the interface page, as seen in the image below. Note: agent counts include active and disconnected agents.
The below table describes count values seen at the bottom of the Inventory page, along with how to use the column filters to view the machines/devices that coincide with each count.
Count | Description |
Total | The total number of all items in inventory. |
Hosts |
The number of Citrix and/or VMware hosts being monitored. To view the hosts, use the column filter for Type and set the selection to only Host. |
VMs |
The number of Citrix or VMware virtual machines from the hypervisor API. To view the VMs, use the column filter for Type and set the selection to only VMware VM Not Running, VMware VM Powered On, Xen VM Powered On, and Xen VM Powered off. Once applied, then also set to the column filter for Agt to only (nothing). |
VMAgents |
The number of virtual machines from the Citrix or VMware hypervisor API that have an agent deployed. To view the VMAgents, use the column filter for Type and set the selection to only VMware VM Not Running, VMware VM Powered On, Xen VM Powered On, and Xen VM Powered off. Once applied, then also set to the column filter for Agt to only green and red icons. |
VStorages |
The number of datastores/virtual storage devices added from the Citrix and/or VMware hypervisor API. To view the vStorages, use the column filter for Type and set the selection to only Virtual Storage |
SvrAgents |
Server agents. Number of machines with an agent deployed that have a server OS that are not connected to a Citrix or VMware hypervisor API. To view the SvrAgents & WrkStaAgents, use the column filter for Type and set the selection to only (nothing). Once applied, then also set to the column filter for Agt to only green and red icons. |
WrkStaAgents |
Workstation Agents. Number of machines with an agent deployed that have a workstation OS that is not connected to a Citrix or VMware hypervisor API. To view the SvrAgents & WrkStaAgents, use the column filter for Type and set the selection to only (nothing). Once applied, then also set to the column filter for Agt to only green and red icons. |
Devices |
The number of machines and/or devices without an agent that are not connected to a Citrix or VMware hypervisor API. This also included Google Chromebook endpoints. To view the Devices, use the column filter for Type and set the selection to only (nothing). Once applied, then also set to the column filter for Agt to (nothing). |

In addition to the above table, you can also use the Inventory page column filters to view which machines are specifically consuming Citrix Virtual App Server and Citrix Virtual Desktop licenses.
