You can now logoff sessions, disconnect users, end processes or applications right from within the Citrix session dialogs.
Enabling On-Demand Remediation Options
First you’ll need to make sure your user account has the remediation options enabled.
- Go to Settings, Security and User Accounts and select the users you would like to allow remediation options.
- Click Edit and then select the checkbox to enable Allow On Demand Remediation.
Logging Off or Disconnecting Individual Sessions
On the Views – Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops page select an active session then use the menu icon to Disconnect or Log off the user session, as shown in the image below.
Additionally, from within the session dialog, you can log off or disconnect the active session using the new menu option at the top of the window, as illustrated in the next image.
Ending Processes and Applications
In the case where an application or process is hung or using too many resources impacting session, you can choose to end the application or process right from the session dialog.
From the Apps/Process tab, select any item and use the available button to end the process or application.
Note that the applications and processes are running on the XenApp server or the VDI. If you’re looking at a historic session you will still be able to see current apps running on the XenApp server - use the User column to ensure you're looking at the right process or application before ending.
Remediation Task Notifications
After submitting any remediation task, a notification is displayed letting you know it was successful, as displayed below.
